What not to bring?
Too much cash - ATM"s are everyhere.
Money orders are a maybe. MoneyGram or WesternUnion sent ahead to yourself is a good idea.
Forget pens and other essentials, this notion passed years ago.

How safe is the Ukraine?
Generally speaking; Very. You can get into bad areas of any city, but, we are here to take care of all parts of your journey. Remember, the USA has more murders per capita than almost anywhere in the world.
